Rockers have a great history of trashing every hotel room they ever sleep in.  They are famous for trashing hotel rooms…or at least. Case in point, Pete Doherty‘s 2006 London flat.  Pete must have been too high to read the full details though.  Not only did he miss the memo that trashing rooms is no longer cool, he also missed the bit about making sure the rooms you trashed aren’t you own.  Here is what the London press reported:

Troubled rocker PETE DOHERTY is being evicted from his wrecked London flat after building up more than GBP10,000 ($18,000) in rent arrears.

The BABYSHAMBLES frontman, who is currently in rehab being treated for his addictions to hard drugs, has left his landlord shocked at how much damage he has caused to the GBP350,000 ($630,000) property in Hackney.

Doherty has reportedly not paid any rent since January (06), while the floor is littered with syringes and broken glass.

Landlord ANDREAS PANAYIOTOU says, “As well as not paying his rent, there’s both graffiti and blood on the wall, and goodness knows what else.

“We have never known anyone like him. (Doherty) is the worst tenant in my company’s entire history.”

A local resident adds, “The front door was nearly always boarded up and covered in graffiti. Then there were the groupies hanging around on the doorstep and his junkie pals banging on his door at all hours and the endless, headbanging racket.

“We are glad he’s going.”

Lucky for Pete he was able to move right in with his then girlfriend Kate Moss.  Given his constant life challenges and heavy drug use he’s probably forgotten all about this by now.
